Consumers’ Research Council Names Alexander J. Covey, M.D. one of “America’s Top Physicians”
July, 2008 Southampton, New York - Alexander J. Covey, M.D. was named as one of “America’s Top Physicians” for 2008 by the Consumers’ Research Council of America, an independent Washington, D.C. based research organization that provides consumers’ information guides for professional services throughout the United States.
“I am honored to be included in this select group of physicians,” said Dr. Covey. “I enjoy helping patients look and feel their best and am proud to be recognized for my achievements.”
Dr. Covey is the surgical and medical director of East End Laser Care and has been performing cosmetic procedures since 1988. With New York offices in Southampton, Manhattan, and Center Moriches, Dr. Covey specializes in the most advanced alternatives to plastic surgery. Consumers’ Research Council of America compiled the list of top physicians by using a point value system. The criteria used in the evaluation include education and continuing education, number of years practicing in the medical profession, board certifications and affiliations with professional medical associations. Physicians who have accumulated a certain number of points qualified for the list. No fees, donations, sponsorships, or advertising are accepted to ensure an unbiased selection.
